The University of Illinois System has a policy regarding residency status for the purposes of admission and assessment of student tuition available at www.uaps.uillinois.edu/student_programs/residency_information/residency_status_requirements/. In general, except as otherwise provided in this policy, a person must be domiciled in Illinois for at least 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the first day of classes for the term for which residency is sought to be classified as a resident by the U of I System. Further information or clarification may be secured by contacting the Office of Undergraduate Admissions or the Office of the Registrar.
